The Holden Sandman occupies a unique place in
Australian motoring history. Many enthusiasts fondly remember their time with (or in) a
Sandman and the connection with the Australian beach life. A number of enthusiasts have
continued their love affair with this vehicle since their introduction in the 1970's. The
re-release of the Holden Sandman in 2000 has lead interest in these vehicles to further
escalate. The Sandman Owners Club has been born out of a desire to help restore and
preserve these iconic vehicles, and to share in the mythology surrounding them!
The club caters for HQ, HJ, HX
and HZ Sandman vans and utes whether it be an original, work in progress, or completely
restored vehicle. We also invite people who do not own a Sandman but share in the
enthusiasm for these vehicles to participate. Members come from all parts of Australia and
overseas. The Sandman Owners Club is socially orientated and we
encourage members to participate in All Holden Day's, and attend our annual run down the
Great Ocean Road in Victoria.
Memberships fees are $15.00 and
includes; listing your vehicle photos and basic description, a club sticker, advertising
your vehicle on the site, technical and restoration information from the experienced
authors!
